Question about knifemaker

Don't know if I am in the right place but.....
Does anyone know anything about a Mickey L. Ames? What kind of knives, what they look like, prices? Anything? I looked at alltheweb but couldn't find anything. I would appreciate any help as I am wanting to maybe get one of his knives for my husband (our last name is also Ames). Thank you in advance!!

I remember a small fixed blade he made being pictured in one of the mid- 90's Knives books. It was a small traditional hunter/caper, very pretty.
