Question about knives showing up in stores after Bladesow.

I remember seeing a lot of normally unavailable, unique, special edition, or custom knives showing up on the various knife store sites. A lot of these knives were said to have come from the Blade show, Shot Show, or similar events. The knives were available on the regular sites for about a month, and they were gone.

Was I seeing correctly? Is there an opportunity to score great deals after the big knife show events?

Yes, some manufacturer's will make a number of special knives for certain events. Case makes them for any factory hosted thing, and often for the SHOT. I don't remember seeing them at Blade, so that might be different. Collectors and buyers will make a point of buying those limited numbers, so they are usually gone in the first couple hours of the shows. Some club held shows (like the Oregon Knife Collectors Club) also have annual knives.
