Question about Leki staffs...

Hello there! I don't come over to this forum near often enough!
Okay, here's the situation- I had a custom made, strong rattan walking staff that I love. My 10 year old daughter has now adopted it. I like to have one around (snakes, dogs, two-legged dogs, etc.), so I went to our local outdoorsy type store. I really like these lightweight Lekis- they close so small and snug and are a bit gadgety (and we all love that stuff, right?!)...
Now, we are hiking Wednesday at Bushkill Falls here in PA. My daughter has promised to throw me the rattan staff if we are attacked by a large gang of badgers, but I still like to have something with me as far as a walking staff.
So I bought the Leki Light Walk....my question is, are all three sections made of aluminum? - it does seem light and with the coating on the sections ya can't be sure, although it did pass the 'ring tapping' test; don't all the Lekis have aluminum shafts all the way through??....
Thanks for any help!

Most of the Leki shafts are aluminum, though I beleive they also make some carbon fiber/fiberglass ones. They have a web site, and list all materials there. I have a set of the Super Makula (with the cork grips and shocks) that have served me well for almost 8 years. They are good buys if you treat them well (ie, not HUGE amounts of lateral pressure, they are thin wall aluminum tubing after all).
