How common does this lock rock phenomenon occur in the ZT 0560?? I recently purchased a NIB 0561 and have noticed a tiny bit of vertical blade play. Normally this wouldn't concern me at all however I've noticed more than a few threads/posts on here stating similiar instances that later developed into complete lock failure. Is this a cause for concern? Other than the small amount of up and down blade play I am completely satisfied with the knife, it flies open like a bat out of hell and is wicked sharp.

Does the lock fail on yours with pressure to the back of the spine? If not you should be fine.

WVHILLS,

We have gone over this before, so I am going to reply and then close this thread - no offense intended.

If you can hold the knife and wiggle the blade and feel up and down play, please send the knife back to the factory and we will fix it for you.

If you care grabbing the blade and pushing hard on the spine, most likely what you are feeling is lockbar flex. This is no cause for alarm - hard pressure on the spine can cause the lockbar to flex a tiny amount.

If you are unsure, just send it in, and we will check it out - see the links in my signature for instructions. If you have any further questions, send me a PM or an email.

Thanks!

- Jim
