Question about long term storage of Sages

I have a safe queen Sage Michael Walker CF and one I carry. I also have a Sage RIL and will likely buy a second Sage RIL to stash.

My question is, since the Sages come in a sealed plastic bag is it safe to leave that bag sealed for long term storage or should I open it to breathe? I live in a very arid location.

I left my second RIL Sage in the sealed bag.
