If a car was made in the last few months of a year, it gets sold as a new model from the following year - eg, a car built in November of 1992 got sold as a 1993 when it arrived at the dealership.
So, when looking up the specs for said car, should I look for the specs on a 1992 or a 1993?
I just bought a Volvo 940 station wagon produced in 1992, sold as a 1993. The only major difference between a 92 and a 93 model is 5 extra gallons of gas capacity in the 93, and I'm curious how far I can actually drive before I hit empty. Normally that would be a matter of watching the gas gauge, but... That broke. So instead I fill it up and count my miles until I get low. Going by this method, though, it would really help to know how big my gas tank is, at least until I get the gauge fixed.
