I have read that Meaners, true Meaners, should be .220" thick, but I have noticed several for sale lately with advertised spine thicknesses of less than < .220". What's the deal??? Please forgive my lack of knowledge. I understand that manufacturing tolerances may vary and that a couple of hundredths or thousandths of an inch is barely perceivable without a caliper, but I WANT A THICK MEANER!!! I like my MEANERS like I like my women..., THICK!!!!! Thanks to all knowing ones in advance.

in the first run, the le was .220.

after that, thickness has varied from about .190-.220.

there have been several releases, the miliganzas, the se's, etc.

Good luck on your search! Most of the Meaner's you see come up are in the .170 to .200 range. I've heard them called "Tweaner's". There's been a couple threads about Meaner thickness in the past couple months with some good info and mouth watering pictures.

Here's a Meaner post from last week ;)
