Question about member signature links to outside sites

Hi BF mods,

Just updated my profile to Gold, and I'm enjoying the whole customization process while it's still novel.

My question is this: I am not a knife seller or knife maker or anything like that. I don't work in the industry. Does a link to an outside site in my signature have to be knife related? I ask because I write for a mainstream blog and I'd like to post a link to my article listings. Just wanted to make sure that is (or isn't) okay.

If this is an infraction, please take it down or edit it out. I searched the FAQs and the forums, and didn't find anything about linking to non-knife sites. Dunno if there is a conflict of interest with this kind of thing...

Andy, I don't see an issue with your link. Unless one of my colleagues comes up with something I've overlooked I think you're good to go.
 
Thanks very much. Please let me know if I need to take it down in the future! (It will never be anything more than a chronological collection of my articles.) Also, I'm playing around with the formatting of the sig area a bit, and the presentation, too. If it looks to overtly ad-like, I will change it. I want people to read my work, but I don't want to beat them over the head about it, ya know?
