question about my ak?

So I bought a busse ak awhile ago that had smooth black g-10 and solid smooth bolts in the handle.
I never seem to ever see any others like this, most have hallow pins in handle and some textured type handles.

So my question is did this come from busse like this or was it customized along the way?

Is it an original AK or a custom shop AK that was release at Knob Creek.

Pictures say a 1000 words

I've got 4 (or 5) original AKs, and what is "a while" 6 months or 15 years?

Coated or Satin Blade .....
Mine have smooth bolts (though some have hollow rivets) and some have canvas micarta and some linen micarta. Again, pictures will answer most questions

Yea haha im not very computer smart so im still figuring out this pic thing. Its satin bladed and ive had it roughly a year. Asoon as I figure out the pic thing ill throw some up of that and a few others. Also not sure, it does have a custom shop stamp on it but I did buy this secondhand and know nothin about it.

Damnnnnm sounds like you have a nice ak collection

I love my AK... GF is right. Pics will help. Some of the A2 AKs match the configuration you're describing, and they are a LOT older than the standard, much more common ones.

Sounds like a Ban one , but yep pics would be great.

E-mail them to me and I can post them for you.

Holy Moly that's pretty!!! Wow!

Wow that is nice

Gorgeous!
Congratulations on scoring that awesome AK!

Color me jealous!

The original AKs are stunning to see. Congrats on scoring one for yourself!

Great picture, T! That thing is wicked!

Hubba hubba!!

We all love hearing stories of great finds. Feel like letting us know how you came to have it? I once bought a 1 Busse and 1 Swamp Rat off my local craigslist for a pretty sweet price. Anything like that? Reason I ask is usually when people have a blade like that, they know everything about it. Sounds like you got more than you were expecting.

dude that is one of the coolest AKs i've ever seen. I like it better than the custom shop ones with the fancy handles

Thanks a bunch knife hunter for puttin that up for me!! Also thanks a bunch for the comments yall.

I contacted the custom shop a lil while back and am waiting on getting a second one exactly the same.

As for how I aquired it. Just in the right place at the right time, someone on another forum put it up for sale, i always wanted an ak but only in satin for my satin collection. I popped on buying it right away because I was yet to see one similar in the handles. My fav of my busse's even over my gladius!!!

Really beautiful blade:thumbup:..... AKs are one of those blades that you just don't need, but, dang!!!!; are they ever nice to own. It's a sword, which is an item that no one needs in this day and age.

That being said.... It's as solid (if not more) than any sword ever produced. I've got some great, absolutely lovely and historically correct reproductions. As good as those are..... I'm pretty certain that the AK surpasses them in toughness and versatility.

Simply a FUN and gorgeous work of art. Truly a joy to own ...... End of ode......
