Picked up a beautiful charcoal/5160 drop point 110 and was curious to know if the lock bar is also 5160? I searched around but found nothing worth a grain a salt so I came to the pros. I'm mostly wondering just from a care/maintenance stand point as I've never had a carbon steel Buck before. Thanks guys!!

No, it's almost unheard of for any interior parts to be the same as the blade.

Yep. All my pre 85ish slip joints employ matching carbon springs, kinda drove me to ask

That's a good point. Those earlier slip locks were like that. But your 110 is very recent. Things got standardized earlier with the 110. Certainly
by the time Buck moved into their new plant in El Cajon, in 1980 parts and frame were standard made. The blade steel started changing. The slip locks were brought in house. DM
