Question about my new BK14

I noticed that my BK14 that I gust got from amazon (picture above) has painted on logos where as al others on YouTube, Ka-Bar's website, and others are actually engraved (pictured below). Did Ka-bar stop engraving their knives, Is Amazon selling a different versions, or what?

Sorry I can't be more help, but I think your best bet would be to visit the Ka-Bar sub forum and ask there. You'll find a lot of knowledgeable people and I'm certain someone can answer your question there.
 
All new versions of the Becker Knives have laser etched logos, the older versions had stamped logos. Apparently the stamping process creates a weak spot in the metal leading to potential blade failures in the stamped area. The one you received is the correct and current model. No worries.
