Question about my new Emerson CQC-8 . Everything looks great but funny laser Serial #

Hello, here is my brand new ordered from Amazon from what looks like a legit dealer CQC 8.
Everything looks great just like my other Emerson CQC 15 except this funny laser Serial # on the blade.
nothing rubs off or anything it just looks like double etched by accident. Almost looks like the last two digits have 7's under the 0 2.
Has anyone here seen this on a Emerson before?

I dont want to have to return the knife but i am a perfectionist hahaha.

I have had that a couple times. Both at different locations, the logo or other writing. No big deal to me but I can see you point about being a perfectionist.
 
ok , just wanted to ask you guys, i love the knife and emerson knifes are awesome just was curious.

If you have doubts about your knife call Emerson I am sure the peeps who answer the phone can advise you if the Serial Number is legit. Or PM. EmersonRep to look at your photos.

Than you will know for sure you do not have a KNOCK OFF OR COUNTERFEIT. My eyes are old, so I do not see the double hit, or double etching. But what I do see is what appears to be to me the serial number is different from the rest of the test etching.

Could be a Double Strike, but I am wonder whey the other information is not blurred. I do not know how EKI does their engraving, or if the Serial Number is a Second Engraving after the other stuff is done.

Like I said call EKI, or PM EmersonRep.
