Question about my new small regular

I just got the small regular I bought off the exchange. Overall, it seems to be in good condition. The action is a little tight and it does have some crazy lock stick, so I'm going to send it in for some time at the spa. My question is about the blade length. It seems to be about 1/8 of an inch shorter than my small 21. It's an '05 with an S30V (according to it's card). Is that normal or did someone reprofile the tip?

The Regs were slightly shorter.
You could try a little graphite/pencil lead on the blade interface for the lock to ease the stickiness, it usually works very well.
