I've heard people say that they have one of the first 100, or one of the first 300 Battle Mistresses made. Is that correct? Were there a certain 100, and also 300 made?

If so, could anyone tell me what mine is? I was just curious to know what I have. Could it be one of the first 100 made?

I posted some pics of my SHBM in this post a while back.

Mine looks exactly like the one in the middle on this pic from Badmojo. On badmojo, they call it a "partial clip point".

The middle grind is known as the "1 of 300". I have one of these also.

The one on the right, the thinnest, is what I had originally known as the "1 of 6" but a number of them have surfaced in the past few years, but it is felt there are fewer than 30 out there, maybe fewer than 20. I had a guy bring his to the Indy show and wanted to sell it. He said he and his 2 brothers all have identical blades.

Hope that helps.

sometimes i hate you scott.DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD???
i mean
i'll take the middle one!

also check out the total length, all the butts are even and the last shot shows how much longer the later models are.

Last time I counted my SHBM's I hade 14....I don't remember what was what.

I think you ones that were as thick as a dime one top ended up having about 50 ground that way.
Most of those ended up being Satin finished with only a hand full being coated black.

The middle one ended up with about 300.

And the 3rd one is most common

There are some variants that ended up with rounded or round into sharp edge toward the tip ones out there.

The 4th and Rarest SHBM is the factory krinkle coated ones...
there are 2 of them, and THEY are in MY SAFE

If I remember right, weren't there also handle variations that narrow down the production numbers on certain runs?
BTW, you're welcome Jody ;)

Thanks for all the info.

It seems like mine must be a "1 of 300" one. Were those 300 some of the first ones made?

Does anyone have any idea roughly how many SHBM were made all-together?

Please do not forget the less than Fifty SHBM's that were a sharpened top clip from the Factory.
