Ok since the new chinook is out and old ones are being discontinued i have a few questions.

1. I have the old chinook II and was wondering what happens if say the edge chipped just cutting stuff and i sent it in based on the warranty? Would i get the new chinook II or would i receive one of the older versions left over?

2. This one is more towards Sal. Is there a chance of you just exchanging the old version of the chinook II for the new flat ground? Like if i sent in the chinook II for no reason except to exchange it for the newer version, would spyderco do that?

Alright well thats it. Great knife and thanks for taking the time to read this.:)

So, If Sal's answer to # 2 is NO (which I'm almost certain it will be), were you going to try # 1?:thumbdn:

Do you think that, since an updated BG-42 CF Military is coming out, Spyderco should just exchange my used S30V CF Military, for the simple fact I like BG-42 better?:jerkit:

If you like the flat-ground Chinook II that much, do the right thing, buy it (or at least ask Spyderco if you can pay to have the blades swapped out).

Best wishes,

No way did i mean to sound like some criminal mastermind. I was just wondering if they were stopping all production of the hollow ground chinook, making it so they would have to do one of those methods.
