Question about NMSFNO

Does the 8" blade length of the NMSFNO include the choil or is that over and above? I"m also wondering what the width of the blade is?

I think it includes the choil. I think the width is around 1.75" but not certain.

I think most knives rate "plunge depth." In my experience blade length is measured from the top of the handle to the tip.

from my experience different knife makers rate the length differently, I do believe though that Jerry does it from handle to tip, others go from choil to tip.

Seems like I see a lot of X inch blade with an X inch edge marketing these days.
