When i think of a Schrade (or and brand I guess) I immediately picture the brown saw cut handles. I assume they were all delrin, but i was wondering if there were ever any that were made from saw cut bone? (I've never owned an Old Timer, but now I'm interested--just not in delrin.)

The first year or two that they made Old Timers back in the 60s they used bone, and I believe that some of it was sawcut. These would be pretty rare by now. They had a couple of limited runs over the years where they used bone, such as the Old Timer Classics and the anniversary seriesin 1985, but they were all jigged or smooth from what I've seen. I could be mistaken on all of this of course.

The only bone one I have is this 72OT peanut from the Classics run.
