I've just got into making sheaths. I'm no professional by any means, but I'd like to be able to sell them. I'm not planing on making 'em for custom order or anything like that, but I would like to sell them in the 'for sale' section of the forum.

My question is can I do what I mentioned above with out going to knife maker status, or can I do the simpleton route and be a gold member? Like I said I'm more of a hobbyist than anything. I don't think that my skills are ready to be called anything but that.

Thanks

Just FYI, I got warned for having a link to a thread I started for selling survival bracelets. I was informed that I needed a Knifemaker/Craftsman membership in order to put the link in my signature.

I believe that if you just want to sell sheaths in the exchange forum, you need a gold membership. Not sure though...check out the rules.

Here is the explanation and link to the rules...

You must have a knifemaker/craftsman membership to advertise your crafts for sale. A "Gold" membership is no longer sufficient and has not been for several months now.

Any signature link to crafts you sell must be removed as well as any link in your profile until the membership is changed to the appropriate category.

The applicable info is all documented here:

You must have a knifemaker/craftsman membership to sell sheathes (or other crafts) you personally "make".

A "Gold" membership would just allow you to sell items (such as knives or sheathes) you happen to "own".

Since the rules of the "Exchange" were revamped a few months back, Spark no longer allows "Gold" or "Platinum" members to advertise crafts for sale in their signatures or via links to a website in their "user profile".
