I was thinking about buying my son a Pixter Color for Christmas. Has anyone had experience with one? My concern is my son is eight years old and may be "too big" for this toy. It does look pretty cool, and it has alot of neat drawing effects.

Any other suggestions for a gift for an 8 year old boy?

Have you considered giving your son a knife? I remember I was nine when I got my first knife. It was a cheapy SAK but it still brought me more fun and healthy outdoor exercise then any other birhtday gift ever has.

My son already has several knives... I think he is hoping for something different this time.

How about a reply from a soon to be 17 year old :D It wasnt too long ago that I was 8!

I think that your son is probably way too old for one of those things. I have a couple of suggestions for some things that he would really like. I dont know if he is into aircraft or not, but I remember my dad and I putting togethor model airplanes. It was a real good way to spend quality time togethor. Another good suggestion would be a R/C car of some sort. I remember having a blast with those things.
