So, if (in theory ) I want to swap blades on a PM2, do I need to disassemble the entire knife or can I just remove the pivot pin and insert a different blade? If I don't swap the locking liner also will there be lock issues? Thanks.

Swap the scales not the blade. In other words keep the locking parts with the blade to avoid problems.

That was my first thought but I've read that it's difficult to remove the G10 scales from the lanyard tube, and I don't want to damage the G10.

Twisting while gently pulling apart should remove the scales from the lanyard tube.

Also I've heard that putting the knife in the freezer will shrink the metal tube a bit. No idea if it actually works.

i have done this multiple times before and it works great! also, to put the tube back in, if its stubborn, put the handle in a vice and slowly push the handles together

Now you got me curious - whacha swapin?

I've been considering swapping the Brown scales off of a S35vn PM2 (or possibly the Green ones off a CTS-204P) over to a Black-blade/Black-hardware knife (and maybe even cera-coating the liners to black it completely out).
