Question about pocketclips

Hi everyone I'm thinking about purchasing some folders from coldsteel. They are ak47, recon1,voyager and 4max. I like to take away clips on my folders. Are they removable? I've seen disassembling of recon1 on YouTube and I know that the screws on the clip side is longer. What if I put back screws without clip? Will those screws scratch blade?

Depends on the model..I just checked Recon. Blade does not come near those screws. Usually they go into the back spacer. You can always cut a tiny piece of plastic and drill 3 holes to compensate with that.

The difference in length is minimal. I can't see them coming anywhere near the blade.

Did cold steel discontinue the small Espada?

The "small" Espada is called the Medium Espada. It's been discontinued. Interestingly, Knifecenter and BladeHQ have the Medium with gray G-10 scales, which weren't available until after they announced it would be discontinued.
It's a nice design and well executed. I'd recommend it.
