Is the G-10 on the Police3 the grippy kind that will tear up dress pants (like an AFCK)?

The Police 3 has the smoothest G10 slabs of any knife I own. I have the AFCK D2 & an Emerson CQC 13 to compare as I type this. It's noticeably thinner side to side than the AFCK too, if that matters. It carries surprisingly well for it's length & hasn't abraided any pockets of mine. I was on the fence about it when I ordered it but it's since replaced my AFCK as my favorite folder. Hope this helps.

Do you think it would abrade wool slacks over time?
EDIT: just re-read your post, I see you already answered that question. Ignore this post lol.

To qualify my opinion, I don't own any wool slacks myself. I have the Police 3 & the AFCK D2 in front of me as I type. I don't think the Police 3's G10 scales would abraide them. They're much smoother than any G10 scales I've handled. Very fine checkering with much less height on the indvidual raised spots (or whatever they're called).

I think someone suggested rubbing some fine sandpaper where the clip contacts the G10. I think that's the hot spot.

i used to carry one at work, and my uniform is wool.

i dont recall the p3 causing any damage to them. although, it was in my pocket, so any wear would have been on the inside, where i tend not to look.

Hmm...appreciate the info guys, but I think I've decided to go for the standard Police on blade shape alone. That could change again though...I have a few more days before the $100 amazon gift card I got with points on an account I want to move to a different bank arrives.

I started carrying the Police 3 in my off time, Fits in your pocket so smooth and flat, you forget it's there.
