Hey All,

I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience polishing Double Cut to a Satin finish? How long did it take? Are there any particular challenges/differences over stripping a CG/scrubbing off the decatb/polishing to a Satin finish? Thanks!

Im 99.999% sure I asked the shop that couple of years ago. They said they wouldnt (maybe couldnt) do a satin finish from regular DC finish.
Hope someone with more knowledge will chime in, im curious about this too.

I'm curious about this too for my PR - I just don't see how that finish is able to hide much but maybe it does. From doing a lot of searching it looks like that finish will show wear really fast.

Standard doublcut wouldn't be that hard to get satin as it is nearly smoothed out to satin before they beadblast it.

BIG doublecut would be harder, I'd expect, because it will have rougher grind marks, etc. I still expect it to be an advantage over stripping a coated blade because the decarb will have been removed by the rough BIG sanding along with most of the dimples.
