Many of you know that a number of the Schrade bowies had no tang stamp identifying them as a Schrade knife. Many of these Bowies were sent to Aurum etchings to have decorative work done. I only know of two as follows.

1. Schrade Sam Colt Bowie
2. NRA Bicentenial Bowie

Does anyone know of anymore??

Here's another engraved Schrade:

The Schrade Centennial Knife, presented at the 2004 Shot Show. I wish I had a larger photo, this is spectacular:

HERE IS A FEW MORE TO ADD TO THE LIST.

DANIEL BOON DEEP ETCHED BOWIE

CUSTERS LAST STAND DEEP ETCHED BOWIE

BUFFALLO BILL DEEP ETCHED BOWIE

And lastly the much debated Smith & Wesson bowie. I have just been informed by a reliable source that some of these were were made by Schrade and Camillus. The time periods involved I am uncertain of but the Smith & Wesson bowies go back to the early 70s. The one in the bottom 2 photos is a DEEP ETCHED SMITH AND WESSON. I didnt take these photos.

Timstools, is the book yours? it will tell everything about S&W knives. The book is harder to find than the knives and cost around $175.

No, its not mine it was sent to me in a pic from a collector friend stating: "look familiar it should it was made by Schrade" Ill ask him where the pic came from.
The plain Smith and Wesson bowies are really very nice and are often on ebay for around $160 to $200, they are a nice addition to a collection and come with a nicely polished blade. There are two on ebay at present. Mine is the deep etched one picture above the seller sent me tracking number today.
Regards Tim
