Hi guys.

For the first part let me introduce myself. My name is Petr Melicharek and im from Czech Republic, a tiny country in central Europe :) Im 34 years old and im making knives since 2004. Last few year it is my full time job :) I love to do mainly unique pieces. I prefer smaller knives such scandies or smaller pocket knives with some "artistic" touch but lately i started with bigger knives as bowies and hunters. So i decided to star posting in this page too :) I think that this page is something like an "Bowie Empire" so i hope you will like my works at least a bit :) :D The true is that the American bladesmiths are the true Bowie masters :) I think I will learn many things here too and I can get many new angles of view :) So that is what i wanted to say to start and now my question.

I started posting on this page like 2 months ago but i was putting my posts on "knife makers gallery" section. But i realised that little people is posting there and the tread isnt so active. Maybe i was mistaken.. Can someone tell me where i should put my custom works ? it seems to me that people is posting them here. Can someone tell me what is the difference between those to treads on this site ? Excuse me for my bit "dull" questions and for my English :D Im just a lost newbie here :D

Thanks for any response and have a nice day guys :) !! PM

Hello Petr!
Yes, as you have probably noticed many knifemakers post images of their work on this customs sub-forum.
You will get good, honest and knowledgeable feedback here from both other knifemaker and collectors.
Welcome!

Thanks a lot for your fast response :) I made one pretty big damascus bowie with walrus tusk last month . Do you think it would be inappropriate to repost it once again here ?? I fear it got pretty lost in other part of forum .. i made pictures from whole process :)
Thanks again for your welcome :)

Hi Petr,
Good to see you here. This forum would be a great place for you to post your photos. There's a lot more discussion here than in the gallery, with many collectors, users, and other makers contributing regularly, and your pictures would be very well received even if they're a "repost" from another forum. People also love to see process pics, so if you've got them, post them too. The more you share about your techniques, designs, artistic influences etc. the better.

Looking forward to seeing your work!
