Here is the situation. I bought something, begrudingly, for $49.99. It was one of those 2-knife China combos with a tin. I normally don't pay that much but I collect those things and didn't have that one. Two days later the retailer gave me an email notice that they were on sale for $19.99. I asked them for a price adjustment because it was such a recent purchase that I haven't even received it yet. The retailer refused to make an adjustment stating that Buck sets those prices. I don't believe that is true for that kind of product. I know it might be true for the items on their dealer price list. But these are special exclusive products. Anyway why would Buck say $49.99 and then two days later say $19.99? Am I wrong in thinking that a price adjustment is in order? Anyway, I am returning it, with a $9.00 charge for shipping and ordered 2 more at $19.99 each. So my net cost will be $24.50 instead of $49.99. But it would have been so much easier for both parties to do an adjustment. I won't buy anything more from there. It was Midw@yUS@. By the way, there are new gift tins on sale there
. The thing that irked me was lying about the reason they won't make an adjustment. They could have just given me a $20 credit without me having to send anything back and I would have been happy.
