I am trying to find someone that is very familiar with some of the older model gentlemans folders. I was given something by an individual who was a knife dealer who carrier Boker. He had a knife that was supposed to be a prototype that they would give out to different dealers and sales people. These were to have some slightly different specs than each other and were used to decide on a more favorable design. I was told most were hand ground and assembled. The piece I have is definitely different than the final production model, since I have that one as well. I was just trying to see how many of these things may be out there and if it actually is a rarity or just another knife. I have included a pic of the knives side by side. It appears a slightly different handle and blade shape were chosen for the final design. The supposed prototype has all the correct markings and Boker stamps. Just looking for some opinions on this.
