Hello Randall fans. I have a question about Randall and the question is. How come you don't see them for sale around here. I've been looking around for a 25-5 preferably in O1 for ease of sharpening. I'm not the best at sharpening knives in general. A 25-5 in O1 with nickle silver butt cap and guard maybe a wood handle would be sweet. You just don't see them for sale anywhere. Also how long have they been making them? Were any of them made with the roughback sheath.
Thanks in advance for your advice and answers to my questions.

I live close by the shop that makes them. I go to a gun and knife show like this week end and there will be a guy with two tables of them for sale. used ones. they sale for high prices.

'nato, the #25 has been around since the late 1980's, some of the earliest were in JRB's, mostly the 6" versions. Search the 'for sale' ads here, they show up occasionally.

They do show up here, but if you're in a hurry there are several thousand Randall's for sale on eBay.

Thanks guys for your responses. I've looked around there and the guy with the camo background has a couple of nice ones. I think he's a little high though but right now seems like the only game in town. I guess i'll keep looking around and be patient.

I see a few at gun shows but they are usually over priced . Some Randall dealers also attend the shows . I picked up a 19 -5 last weekend from a dealer at catalog price at a show . You can order a catalog on line from RMK for free . It will show you catalog prices for standard models , prices for options you may want etc . Also dealers have a shorter wait time than RMK . Some sell at catalog prices & some don't . With a catalog you will know if a knife is overpriced or not if you find one you like -

I've heard that if you contact the guy sjjp, he will deal with you on the price.

Thanks i think i'll do that being my last Randall catalog is from 1983 so i don't think the prices would be the same. Sounds like you got a good deal congrats.
I'll be keeping my eyes open for sure at the next gun show i attend.
