Question about Salt 1

The Salt 1 handle is made using the old molds from the barrel bolt Delica, often called the Delica 3. The same mold is used for the Tasman Salt and was used for the second generation Merlin. FRN molds are expensive, but I think Spyderco is getting their money's worth out of that one and the old Endura mold used for the Pacific Salt, Spyderhawk Salt, original Spydehawk and Matriarch.
 
I ask because I find the handle on my Delica 4 to be a little uncomfortable. I have large-ish hands and my middle finger tends to rest right on the large contour in the middle of the handle. It seems like it would fit smaller hands better.
