Does anyone know what years the knives were shipped in black boxes and what years they were shipped in white boxes? There is probably info on this forum about it, but after searching for a while, I coulnd't find it.

Thanks in advance.

Schatt & Morgan traditionally have always been in their brown labeled boxes.....
When you ask about the white box... is it simply plain no markings ?..and as far as the black box might of been a customer of Queen Cutlery that had S&M do a SFO....pictures always help or maybe a little more detail of the boxes

Sorry. I wasn't sure if they were brown or black. I don't have any pics, but I see a lot of Schatt & Morgans for sale with white boxes and some with darker boxes. Just figured the white ones were later. . .

Example of a white box knife for sale:

When DFC took over Queen Cutlery they were still using the brown boxes. For a short while they were using very dark blue boxes, they then changed to the white boxes for about a year or so and up to the end.

I've got a Black S&M Box, I'll have to get a picture tomorrow.
I've looked at it under different lighting and am positive that it is black and not dark blue.
The box came with a #71 grandaddgr Barlow I won here in BF's ( misplaced the knife ATM but knew right where the box was  )
