I was given a 3-blade pocket knife that belonged to my now deceased grandfather. How can I tell the age of the knife? He carried it for many years. I'm guessing made in the 70's or 80's maybe? It has "Schrade Walden NY" on one side of the main blade and the number "880" on the other side. I'm sure that it is not worth anything as he had re-sharpened it. It needs to be cleaned up from where it was carried in his pocket so long. It does however, have a lot of sentimental value to it. Also, what is the best oil to use on a knife?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
