Question about Seal Pup

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum. I wonder if some of you experienced SOG users might be able to explain something to me. I am considering getting a Seal Pup or SP Elite. I have seen them both on the SOG site and elsewhere (although never handled either). On some sites I see a knife that seems to be in between the SP and SP Elite. It has the gray powder colored blade of the SP with no spine rasp, but the blade shape and handle of the SPE. The serrated section is closer to the handle like on the SPE. What knife is this? Is this an older SP made in Japan, or an early SPE before the rasp was put on the spine?

Not exactly sure what you are trying to convey. Maybe it is a Seal Team knife mislabeled? The father of Seal Pup. Or, Sog has a new knife out called Force that looks similar but I don't think they offer it in a powder coat. The handles are slightly different than the Seal Pup as is the blade, so I don't think you confused them. Maybe just an optical illusion in the picture. If you can find a picture of it, post it please, it will help with an identification. Hoped this helps. Glad to have you aboard.

This is advertised as a seal pup but it has the shape of an elite. And, there is no spine rasp and it is neither black Tini nor satin.

If the picture doesn't come out clearly I will look for another one.
