Question about seconds

I just bought a Herbst. How can you tell if it's a firsts or seconds?

If the knife is a second there should be a notch cut out of the blade behind the hole.

Was it a Ti or an Aluminum one? If it's Ti, it's most likely a second.

I only wish it were a Ti. It's the aluminum, comboedge.

I have a Ti Second.(weak ball detent AND slipping lock) There's a tiny little notch right above the pivot area of the blade. There are no second Aluminums.

Though my Ti is a second, it's still nice to hold and play with, considering it's the only German spydie

I think mine's made in Japan unlike yours, but at least it shares in the European design. Being made of Ti, yours must be a feather to carry though. Sweet.
