Question about snakeskin micarta

Is the snakeskin micarta the same thing as what used to be labelled camo micarta? They look awfully similar. Are either/both made out of canvas? Thanks.

This is what I was told about the old camo. It was a one
shot deal, some kind of mistake in the making. And it is
all gone. Maybe Jerry could give us the real story.
