Question about SOG Arc-Loc

Hello Everybody,

New forum member here and a proud owner of a new SOG Vulcan Mini. I am also new to the folding knife world so my use of terminology might be off but I hope you will bear with me.

I have a question for those of you who might own the Vulcan Mini(probably applies to the standard Vulcan as well) regarding how the Arc-Loc should be functioning.

Specifically, when my blade is open I see a very definite gap between the blade indent and the Arc-Loc bar...in other words the bar does not seem to be "seated" fully into the blade ident. Now when I look on the SOG website for example the generic Arc-Loc intro section shows a close-up where there does not appear to be any gap...and yet in the various photos of the Vulcan Mini with the blade open, it does.

Should I be worried because mine doesn't appear to be fully seated?

Yeah, that is normal with the arc-lock.

On a side note, i never thought i would see another poster form kelowna BC...snowing like mad today hey hahah

Baz4life, Yeah I just got home from a movie and damn stuff hasn't stopped for 2 days now. Good for the ski hills but crap for those of us who have to get up every morning and shovel our driveways. And up here in Dilworth we get twice as much as everybody else in the city to boot.:(
