Question about Southern Ordnance "spring knife"...

Hello everyone. I'm new here and have a question. I was referred over here by a fellow member on ARFCOM where i'm very active. The question is regarding a Southern Ordnance "ballistic knife" like the ones sold in SOF years ago. I've had one of these knives for a good while and found it in a box when I was moving some stuff for my PCS move to Colorado. I no longer want or need it and was wondering what they're selling for. I know they're just knock off's of the real Russian ones but I've heard they still sell for quite a bit. I understand they're restricted items not when assembled/loaded so I've always kept the springs separate from the knife. I have the knife, spring, blade, and baton that goes over the blade. The blade only has slight finish wear from the previous owner and is not dinged up. This is not a WTS ad...I just want to know its value, as well as where I could sell it without running into legal troubles. I'd imagine Ebay probably isn't the best place to do so (not that I use ebay anyhow). :jerkit: Thanks for any help!

Any help is appriciated. It's not a big deal if I don't sell this thing but I figured this would be the place to ask...so if you have any idea about the value or what not please either post or PM me.

The Federal law bans possession and interstate sale, so I don't think you will get many answers here.....

Gotcha. Thanks anyways. I guess I'll toss it back in a box and forget it for a few more years!

It would be a better idea if you have an "unfortunate boating accident" in which the knife is "lost".

I doubt that anybody is going to go about looking for one of those door to door.

If your that worried, just yank the spring out of it. It shouldn't be too hard. Plus I think that's how some people were selling them anyways. (then selling the springs later)
