question about stripping and polishing a blade

I'm in the process of stripping and polishing my bk2 and was wondering what to do to keep the blade from rusting but still keep a shiny polish? Got a sheath on order from moose and still need to find someone to do some wood scales. Thanks!

Your best bet is just to keep it oiled or waxed. Car wax or Renaissance Wax work pretty good.

I was wondering if wax would work, I might try that since it wont be abused anyways. Thanks for the tip!

Force a patina and oil it!

Dont remove the coating under the scales, use it for rust prevention under them.

You'll have to ask a different forum about your stripping problem , but as for polishing your blade, I would say just keep it oiled.
