Are the Surefire E2e, Surefire E2e Executive, and the E2e Executive Elite the same light? If not, what are the differences. Also I was looking into the 6P, the 120 lumen output would be kinda nice..and opinions/advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

e2e = exectutive 2 elite :)

the e2e is a lot smaller than the 6p, so it makes a better edc than it in most cases. get one, you won't be dissapointed :D

I have an E2e (I think), but I don't like the fact that it has a clip that I can't remove on it, from the websites I was looking at, the E2e Executive have a removable clip, is this true?

Oh, you can remove it; it just takes a bit of work.

The flashlight body is aluminum. This is good, because it means that you can do pretty much whatever you want to it comparatively easily with common tools.

I got the clip off of my E1 no problem. Just slot cut the rivet and twist it out. Alternatively, you could probably get some vise-grips around it and just wiggle it out.

If you want to replace it some day it is pretty easy to find a small screw that will fill the hole securely. I suppose you could also buy another flashlight to get a removable clip, but this method seems to work quite well.

There's the E2: round bezel with a clip either screwed in or riveted in, depending on manufacture date. ALso had a Lexan lens.
The E2E: has an anti-roll bezel with Pyrex lens. Clip is attached to the body of the light.

Then there's the "hybrid" that's available on SF's site: it had the E2e's body, but the E2's head (w/out the clip).

If your adventurous, who can cruise over to CPF and search for the modification wherein you can use a P61 (120Lumen) lamp in an E2e. It's a bad-arse combo.

Boy, I'd love to do that with my E2E. That would be a seriously kick - butt EDC, and would perfectly complement the Arc LS and the Arc AAA that I currently carry. I remember reading a thread about this mod over at CPF. Do you know whether the CPFer who came up with the mod (whose name escapes me right now) is still doing them?

I just purchased a Surefire.

I went to Gander Mountain where they had a full display of all the models and all of the attachments. I like the idea that the Surefire is small, but that was not the main objective; I have large, deep inside pockets in my jacket. After viewing them, I bought the 6P in gun-metal.

To that, I added a single LED head, the KL3. A multi-LED would be sweet, but the KL3 made a clear blue-white light, and I felt it would be less of a drain on the batteries if needed.

I could not see the use of a pocket-clip either, and I'm glad my model did not have one.

I've been playing with it, the gun-metal finish looks great and the button-press on the rear makes a great addition to using a pistol in the dark. There is a cross-wrist method I use where you press the light for a second, take a sight picture and move quickly. I works wonders for this. (I hate to admit this, but late one night I shut down all of our lights and 'shook down' my own home, both floors!)

Oh well, my wife says that there is a big raccoon that has been wandering around in our back yard. "Hey, you in the mask, freeze, sleaze!"

Nathan, you can also get a "E2C" adaptor that screws into your E2e, and will let you mount a bezel from the standard size 2 and 3 cell lights (even the turboheads).
Check this out.

Wow, what a cool idea. Thanks for the link, Owen.
