I have two Benchmade Pardue 531 knives and I want to switch the grips on them (they have different steel). Does anybody know how hard that would be, how to do it, or if they are even custom fit to each knife. Thank you, Jeff

I should think it would be easier just to switch out the blades.

He’s right. Just swapping the blades out is a lot easier.

I am curious, which two models of a 531 do you have?

I love mine.

I have the standard factory one with black/grey grips and 154CM blade. Then I bought one on EBay with green grips and S30V blade, which I think was just a limited edition. I just want the black/grey grips with a S30V blade. I really like the 531’s too.

I have a green G10 scaled 531 in S30V. It was an REI exclusive.
It was pricey...I forget now how much.

I love the green scales. They match my Benchmade 162.

If money wasn’t so tight, I would offer to buy it.

Do yourself a favor and try a deep carry clip on the 531. It makes all the difference in the world.

Yeah, the 531 is pricey anyhow. Getting the REI exclusive just makes it worse.

The Bugout kind of pushed the 531 to the back of the bus. It has some features that I like better but, I would say the 535 Bugout is a better knife overall.

I got to handle one. There was no way I could afford it but it was amazing. Titanium scales and a Damascus blade.

There is a thread just for the 531 and 530 series knives here in the forums and they have some very good pictures of it. The thread is well worth reading by the way.
