Question about the Benchmade Axis Lock (On Mini-Grip or any other Axis I gues)

Hi guys,

I recently joined the Benchmade club and bought my first axis folder and it happened to be the mini grip. When I first opened it it was awesome with the deployment speed with the flick and it still is but when I open it slowly it made a "ticktickticktick" sound. I decided to put some lubricant in it and after I did, instead of a "ticktickticktick" sound, it just has one small "tick" now.

My question is, is there something wrong with my mini grip? Or is it typical for axis folders to have a sound? Or are they supposed to be completely silent?

Hmm. Mine doesn't tick. It's silent. Probably have some crud in the spring?

No. Just make sure the wash and rinse water is hot. When the knife is thoroughly dry, then re-lube with a small amount of your favorite lube. I have used a hair dryer to speed the drying process.
 
Sounds Like There's Some Dirt And Grit In The Pivot And Spring. Nothing Wrong With Your Knife, Just Dirty.
