Hey all

I'll be taking a road trip pretty soon and, being a knife nut, I thought I'd make a stop at the Benchmade factory store in Portland on my way. :D

I was wondering: has anyone been to the Benchmade corporate store? If so, do they mark down their products significantly there?

iirc everything is sold at full MSRP, but they have some limited editions there that you can't get anywhere else.

Interesting. Also a bit disappointing. I figured the prices would be at least a little lower, since they don't have to ship those knives anywhere once they've been assembled.

Well, I imagine that still won't stop me. I'll take pictures of the haul when I get back from the trip.

If you are headed out that way there is the Leatherman factory in Portland. Also Kershaw's headquarters is in Tualatin, Oregon which is not too far away from Portland. I don't know if they have a storefront but CRKT is also headquartered in Tualatin.

Funny you should mention that. Kershaw, CRKT, and Leatherman are all on the list of stops.

Buck's not too far away in N.Idaho with a factory store.Sounds like a blast.

O, I forgot Gerber is also in the Portland isn't it?

Indeed it is. I'm going to check ahead of time to see which companies actually have corporate stores, but I'll also be stopping at major knife stores along the way.

Do you guys know of any good knife stores near the I-5 freeway in Oregon or Washington?
