First of all, Let me say the Oddysee is one of the best values on the market. I love the way it is shaped also.
Okay, I heard a rumor that only 271 of these knives were ever produced because you guys ran out of Sambar stag. Is this true? Forturently I was able to get my hands on one at the last minute. Thanks. Ed

Ed and others,

Yup, I heard that the planned run of 500 fell short too. I have S/N 021/500 as NIB available for sale should someone be interested. See my post under the For Sale/Trade area.
Thanks!

Edrozen,
According to my sources we actually made 279. In my opinion, this is one of the most collectable buck knives in a long time. I wish i had one!
The knife was designed by Chuck while we were all stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the SHOT Show in Las Vegas a few years back. A big rig had gone off the road so we were stuck for about an hour. Chuck turned to his son CJ and myself and said," I am supposed to design a knife for an upcoming project" He handed us some blank sheets of paper and we started drawing. Personally i thought mine was the best but what do I know? ;-) His design is the one ultimately chosen.
Just a bit of trivia.
