Question about the Combat Karambit.....

So I was at my local knife shop and for giggles bought a Combat Karambit in satin. I have always been fascinated with them so I figured wth.

So when did EK go to a reinforced tip on them? I see images with and without and not much discussion on why.

I will say....Blade is centered perfectly, perfect grind, G-10 matches flawlessly with the liners.....overall fantastic.

Just curious.....were the tips snapping on the earlier ones?

There have been a few folks that have broken or bent the tips. The reinforced style like the Super Karambit is tougher and ties the 2 knives together by having similar blade styling.
