I've searched in the archives but i did not find an answer to my question

what is your opinion about the CRKT neck knives? I saw them in Paris in a cuttlery and i found them pretty nice and moreover they are cheap and nowadays i'm not very rich...

Thanks all.

Which ones are you interested in? I personally wear a CRKT Bearclaw as a neck-knife. Now granted, it is a copy of the La Griffe, it is however inexpensive, (I paid $20 for mine), and works very well.

They are a great "bang-for-the buck" design. If you like them though you will want to get a good kydex sheath made for them. The plastic sheaths they come with are kind of chunky. At their price though you won't be afraid to abuse them.

I have the Stiff KISS and it rides in my truck clipped to my sun visor.

Mandragore,
The Columbia River are really good dollar
value.Check out the new Carson F4 neck knife; really
nice.

Bandit,
The Bear Claw is a great neck knife. The La
Griffe's are not really that expensive.I guess it
depends where you find them!!

I like all of the CRKT series, though I traded all of mine to friends. Good value, and very innovative designs usually. Of the neck knives, I've owned the Stiff KISS and Neck PECK. Both were nice, especially for the price, but the sheaths are a bit bulkier than I would like. Great deal anyways though.

The Stiffkiss MDP makes a very good neck knife. The Stiffkiss can also be carried on a belt, boot or evan in a pocket. I sometimes remove the pocket clip for neck or pocket carry. The F4 looks very nice also, but I don't have one yet.

imho the CRKT neckers are ok, though imho for the $$, give me a livesay woo anytime, for almost the same price - the only CRKT i'm really crazy about is a companion, w/a custom sheath, and while CRKT markets it as a necker, imho its too big for that.....

i have a stiff kiss, and actually i prefer my cammilus arclite to it also, which also runs about the same $$ (also have a woo)

so imho if its a necker ya want, get a woo

Nice knives, and priced right.

As stated above, the sheaths are a little clunky. However, you might look at the "Plan B". This is a neat little necker from them, and they really did a nice job on the sheath for it.

I really like the plan B, I have a stiff KISS, but the chisel grind drives me nuts! I'd try the plan B or the F4.:)

I have a Neck PECK and I really like it, it´s very small and light-weight, extremely comfortable to carry.

As others stated before, the sheaths aren´t that great, but for the money they´re OK, I think.

I don´t like AUS-6 too much, but I do not expect anything with a better edge retention at this price point.

a friend of mine had the F4 as a food knife for our camping trip, it wasn't that great. considering what we used it for, the edge just didn't... pardon this, cut it.
we ended using a cheap plastic knife with serr. that did a better job

they are, of course, an excellent price, but so far, all the neck knives made by CRKT use AUS 6, so there's the only drawback

Well, did you remember to use the sharpened side? Or were both sides about the same? :)

AUS6 dulls easily, I hope your friend keeps that thing sharp. But I've had a good time cutting up steak with my AUS6 M16-13Z, slides right through the meat. Beautiful :)
