Question about the kabar micarta bk9 handle scales

Hey buddies,
I'm finally upgrading to micarta scales for my bk9, I was thinking of getting them from the kabar site. I'm wondering, if anyone else has them and if they could tell me whether or not they are the same size/dimensions as the factory scales. I have a 710 kydex sheath, and I want to make sure that I won't lose retention if the micarta scales are narrower. Also wondering if they come with hardware.

I emailed kabar but haven't heard back. I figured I would probably get a quicker response here anyways.

Yeah, you should be fine. They're certainly close enough to factory; I have them on my 9 in an azwelke kydex (as well as the 16 ride-along) and the fit is great!
 
Mine did not come with hardware. Don't know 100% for sure if they should have.

Order them from Dex at CoyleOutdoors and ask about hardware, he's got lots, including stainless.

Fits my 710 kydex without issue.

Of course, you could warm the kydex up with a hairdryer to form a looser or tighter fit.
 
Thanks for the feedback amigos. I decided to pull the trigger. Can't wait for them to get here. I was only curious about the hardware because they show what appears to be a stainless set on the photo of the scales, on the kabar website. I wish kabar sold black micarta. Could I maybe dye them with RIT or shoe polish?
