Question about the Mk2 (kabar style)

It appears to be leather w/ a camo print material sewn over it. Interesting...

yeah i'm still trying to figure it out:confused:
Dunno seems like alot of effort, just wondering if anybody had seen a factory produced sheath like that.

I have a newer (I think), Jet Pilot knife with that type of sheath.

Maybe Phil or Tom will know.

Yes, Camillus sold them commercially in the 1990's with the Jet Plot knife and the Mark2, it was a factory option. They were camo pattern canvas material stitched over the regular leather sheath.

All the best

Camillus offered a camo sheath during the 1980's. We had one order of camo sheathes made for the model #5733 Pilot Survival knife and the model #5684 USMC 7" Fighting/Utility knife. They were not big sellers and were discontinued after the sheathes were used up.
I have the b&w catalog sheet showing the two sheathes. I will send a copy to Orvet and he can post it here.
