Would a Native sit well in fairly large hands? I have a Para 3 LW and my pinky just barely holds on to the last bit of handle (without using the finger choil) if that makes any sense.

It's smaller than the Para 3, but using the choil I think you would be golden.

The Native 5 LW is a really solid workhorse folding knife, the backlock is very sturdy on these.

I have a Native 5 LW, and I wear a size 10 glove for reference. The knife is very comfortable to grip using the choil, and that is always the way I grip the knife during use. Without using the choil, I can still get all four fingers on the handle, but my pinky is pretty much flush with the end of the handle. Assuming it fits your hand I don't think you can go wrong with the knife.

One thing I like about the native is the way the handle ends. If I grip it before the choil my pinky hangs off and it's still pretty comfy. There's no hook or anything so it's a smooth transition for me. If I used a fob my pinky could grab it.

I'm 6'5, weigh north of 260, and I can't find a pair of gloves to fit right. I have a Native 5 G10 and it fits my hand like nothing else when using the forward choil, but feels a little too short if I grip it only by the handle. Having the choil there makes it feel awkward to hold it by the handle alone anyway, doesn't bother me a bit to use the forward grip.
