One question about the Kydex sheath and the Res-C handles, will the resperine-C wear off from contact with the sheath while taking a knife out of the sheath and back in?

I’ve got some that have been used for 10+ years. The “wear” is unnoticeable. Now also sure it depends on how tight the retention is. But I’ve seen the Basic series that’s been used in kydex for what 25 years and they still holding up great.

If the sheath isn’t designed properly - particularly at the opening/neck area - kydex can cause scuffing. If you make your own sheathes just be sure that the opening allows a smooth insertion/draw without any “hot spots”.

The older basics seemed a bit harder than the current as stated , same with the latest batch for the swords . You might get some scouring where the sheaths retention is.. but no worse than anything else kydex will bite into after time.

Kydex is harder so in theory a poorly made sheath has the qualities to damage res c. But are any of us silly enough to use a sheath that looks like a beaver's mouth? Nah.

Watch D. Brown make a sheath with a cut out of a jagged toothed beavers mouth and then I'm wrong. And then I buy the sheath. Hahaha
