Does the small Lightning have a pocket clip?
Does it have a detent or other means to keep it from coming open while carrying it?
Thanks for your time!

Jeff,
That's great! It's really good to see a company who is aware of what the customers want. Do you know when they're due out in stores?

We are in the process of deciding whether this will be a running change, replacing an existing model or a new model. Internal consensus right now is to move ahead and offer both versions of the small lightnings, with and without clips, for the balance of the year and see if conumer interest dictates deleting one or the other or not.

One good thing that the clip provides is a much more secure grip when opening the knife. The aluminum handles are all CNC machined to adding the threaded holes for the clip is just a programing change. We can also laser out the clips for the short term until blanking dies can be ordered.

It should be available soon. Jeff or I will get back with an update.

Jedi Knife, are you the man to talk to about getting the lightsabre(TM) sharpened?

CJ,

I noticed your last name is Buck- are you the same man I've seen in the ads for the Bucktool- Chuck? If so, your interest here in this forum speaks volumes for your company. Even though the knife industry has grown more than most people could have imagined, and I have no doubt that the competition is feirce, there are a lot of people who recognize the Buck brand of knives as representing a solid American product, comparable to the Colt name in firearms. Keep up the good work.

Jedi,
The "Chuck" is my father. I go by "CJ" to help differentiate. He is chairman now and I am president. I am responsible for all operations and he is focused on board development, shareholder relations and public speaking. This succession took place in February during our 4th quarter board meeting.

Thanks for the comments on the Buck brand. It is quite a legacy to be left and the forums are good information to ensure it keeps getting stronger.
