Hey, I'm new to the forums so I'm sorry if I screwed up and posted this in the wrong spot or something.
Anyway, I'm thinking about getting The full sized black ka-bar and I was wondering what the tang looked like. I couldn't find any information about it. Is it the same skinny tang as is in the ka-bar USMC knife?

Thanks.

If you are talking about this one then yes the tang is the same as the traditional leather handled one.

It is not normally a problem unless you are planning on doing some serious batoning or prying with it.

And if you are planning serious batoning, etc. then you might have a look at the Becker lineup. The BK7 is a similar though more overbuilt (and far sexier :D ) choice.

It has a stick tang, and is the same as the skinny one you saw. If you need to baton wood or something of that nature look into the becker knives. I bought a bk9 recently because my kabar wasnt going to handle it.
